Las Vegas is one of the top destinations for production shows and comedy acts. It also happens to be the home of many permanent Cirque du Soleil acts. There are countless shows available every night, which ones are the best? Here’s the list of the best shows in Las Vegas now:
“O” by Cirque du Soleil (Bellagio)
All the Cirque du Soleil shows are relatively expensive but they deliver an exception performance each and every night. “O” at the Bellagio hotel is considered a fan favorite since its premiere in 1998. The show is a stunning aquatic performance featuring over 80 performers above a giant pool. “O” is certainly one of the most breathtaking shows offered in Las Vegas. If you haven’t seen a Cirque du Soleil show yet, “O” should definitely be on top of your list.

Wynn Las Vegas is considered one of the most luxurious hotels on the Vegas Strip: it is only fitting that they also offer a high quality production show named Le Rêve (“The Dream” in French). Similar to “O” at Bellagio, it is a spectacular aquatic performance with impressive special effects and elite performers. The director of the show is Franco Dragone who is known for previously working with Cirque du Soleil and Celine Dion. The lavish Wynn Theater was beautifully and intelligently designed so each attendee has a great view of the show.

The Beatles shocked the world with their unique and refreshing music and this show is a tribute to the biggest band of its day. Produced by Cirque du Soleil, LOVE debuted inside the Mirage in 2006. It isn’t surprising to see another Cirque du Soleil show on the best shows in Las Vegas list. Officially approved by the surviving members of the Beatles, LOVE is a both an artistic stage performance and a musical journey at the same time. If you happen to be a Beatles fan, LOVE is the obvious choice.

Previously hosted at the Venetian, the Blue Man Group show is now located near the center of the Strip at the Monte Carlo. The Blue Man Group is not your average show. It is a theatrical show with out-of-this-world experimental music, visual extravaganza and state-of-the-art technology. Most importantly, the show is very engaging with the audience and may randomly pick audience members to be part of the show. The “Bluemen” themselves don’t speak yet their expressive movements will keep you laughing throughout the whole show. The music is very loud so be prepared for that!

Once again, Cirque du Soleil produced a theatrical show that is quite different from the likes of “O” and LOVE. Absinthe, located at the Caesars Palace, is daring and risqué show that only adults are able to attend. It is a mix of a spectacular circus act, a variety show and a bold cabaret show all in one. The theater used for Absinthe puts the audience very close to the performance, which allows an immersive and intimate experience. This show is not for everyone though; there are multiple crude and sexual jokes that may offend certain viewers. Nevertheless, Absinthe is a great show for adults.

Some of the other popular shows include, Celine Dion at Caesars Palace, Kà at MGM Grand, Jersey Boys at Paris, Penn and Teller at Rio, Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay and Zarkana at Aria. Keep in mind that the best shows in Vegas are generally more expensive and sell out very quickly. It’s a good idea to purchase your admission tickets in advance to avoid any problems.
If you’re on a budget, you mind want to look into V: The Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood. It offers a variety of entertaining acts for a fraction of the average show price. On any given night, there will be numerous shows that are available to you. If you’re still uncertain where to go, stick to the Cirque du Soleil shows and you won’t be disappointed.
